Yay, I won a book!
Well I'll be et fer a tater ... I won a book in blogging buddy Donna's 400th post celebration giveaway!
The book -- Roll the Wheel: The Abundant Life and Wisdom of Mae Phillips -- looks fantastic and I cannot wait to read it.
As an extra bonus, it is signed by the author, Phyllis M. EagleTree! With a name like that, how can you go wrong?
So, many thanks to Donna, and to Marty, the Official Blog Greeter (who, I am told, pulled my name from the hat) -- he who dines daily on fresh clover and presides over Donna's wonderful blog, Cottage Days & Journeys -- for honoring me with this special literary treat.
If you're not familiar with Donna's blog, I can recommend it for excellent writing and breathtaking photography. She and her husband recently returned to their home in East Tennessee from a trip to British Columbia, and Donna is in the process of sharing their adventures in a series of posts!
Her pictures of grizzly bears are rather mind-boggling ... at least to one like me, who would like to hug the neck of a grizzly bear without ever actually getting close enough for it to hurt me.
How's that for faulty logic? Mea culpa.

Hi there, and thank you so much for stopping by my blog, and especially for Commenting! Commenting rocks! We meet new 'Kindred Souls," because of Commenting. :-)
"I love your candy corn lights! I want me some."
You aren't the only one! :-) And I don't remember where I picked them up, a while ago. Some place like Lowe's or etc. They couldn't have cost much because I'm a "penny-pincher"! -giggles- But I do love everything which is kinda' like Faerie Lights, for ambiance lighting. :-)
I'm putting your blog url into my Google Reader, so I can see when you publish new posts, and I'll be back. I need to share another blog link with you, because of one blog, I see you link to. This is a more recent continuation of that one. :-))))))))
"Kindred Souls" and all that jazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. :-)
And I love your classy Header pic!
Gentle hugs...
Congratulations. Donna is a fantastic photographer, and a brave bear traveller. I don't know if I could have gotten that close with those grizzlies.
The author's name is Phyllis M. EagleTree?? I don't know what the "M" stands for, but if I had to guess, it stands for "most amazing name ever!"
Hahaha, I just found this post of yours! I am running SO FAR behind on my blog reading - for shame! I am tickled pink that you won, and know that you will ADORE that book! I am smiling, just thinking about you tearing into it, savoring each short story as scrumptious morsels of wisdom and thoughts on life lessons. Best wishes to you, my friend. And Marty would gladly substitute for that hug, since grizzly bears don't understand such personal expressions. A true "bear hug" is not meant to be endured or endearing!
