Are You A Racist?
Things have become so simple in America since November 4, 2008: If you're not a liberal, you're a racist! No middle ground. But in case you still have doubts about which one you are, take a listen as Andrew Klavan expounds on the topic in his own inimitable style, which is to say, tongue firmly in cheek:
By the way ... in the unlikely event you don't "get" my sarcasm, I'm neither a liberal nor a racist! I'm a card-carrying member of the religious right. Because to quote the great conservative standardbearer Rush Limbaugh, it's not a matter of right versus left. It's a matter of right versus wrong.

Life sure is easier since we're all racists now. We don't have to make decisions or do anything - because the liberals have already declared what our intentions are.
Unfortunately, the enchantment of the liberal left continues to leave them willingly blind and ignorant.
This is good! In spite of the humor, there is so much truth in it!
I am eternally grateful to former peanut-farmer Jimmy Carter, for his sterling efforts to finish completely and totally de-legitimizing any shred of credibility the Left might have managed to cling to, until recently.
Well done, Jimmy.
@ Rev. Paul ... ain't it the truth? Libs now come equipped with ESP and can read all our thoughts and even our motives! It's like a miracle.
@ Mari ... I knew you'd listen between the lines! That's exactly what makes it so funny: all the truth there and what's NOT spoken.
@ SF ... Awww, Jimmy didn't do it all alone! He had lots of goobers helping him.
I think both sides of the political spectrum display racism. Personally, I've been a victim of racism against Arab-Americans by people who happened to be conservative. But I also see liberals as using the concept of "reverse racism". Both the policies of the left and right are corruptive, and only serve the interest groups. I vote independent
@ Leila ... You are absolutely correct; racism is anything BUT a partisan issue. All people of all walks, creeds, religions, and political affiliations can be -- and often are -- guilty of some form of racism. But being called a racist because you chose not to vote for the black person, is utterly ridiculous on its face. Whoever furthers this assertion forfeits their credibility. Nobody but God can see into people's hearts and discern their motivation.
Agreed. God is the only One who knows, and the only One who can pass judgement.
I didnt vote for Obama, it doesn't mean I'm a racist.
Very clever! I admit (hangs head) I am sometimes very hard on celebrities. For instance, that show "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" I never could bring myself to watch it. But if they'd bribed me by letting me vote on which celebrities to drop permanently in to the rain forest, I would have been much more interested. (By the way, I know how hard sarcasm can be to convey on here. For instance, in the post with a comment by YouAreAFreak, my final comment was very sarcastic. And I knew your answer to him was too. Just so every one is clear, this comment is sarcastic too). Except for the part where I declare unequivocally that I am not a racist and I'm getting sick and tired of being called one.
@ Leila ... agreed, again!
@ Tracie ... Oh, I know! Sarcasm is indeed hard to convey and often I miss it as mine is sometimes missed. But I think I know when YOU are being sarcastic! At least most of the time! And yet I am always amazed when someone does not "get" that I was being sarcastic! I'm being sarcastic 95% of the time! And I never even HEARD of the show "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here" ... IS there such a show? LOLOLOL
Sadly, there was... thankfully it didn't last long. Big surprise.

Oh yes, I am sick and tired of these celebrity or "reality" shows. I'm not one for showing such things on television. I know this is America, but when you dont censor things from television like drugs and sex, you are telling children that its acceptable. Now thats on the parents part too, to ensure they know what their kids are watching. But at least in my home country, Lebanon, we never showed such things. We try to promote healthy entertainment on our television shows. The only "reality shows" we have are talent-based shows, for singing and dancing. Media has a great influence on society, but unfortunately for America this influence is negative.
@ Tracie ... I guess I'll check that out while holding my nose and at my own risk! LOL
@ Leila ... It's been years since I've watched primetime network TV ... I like cable networks such as HGTV, TCM, Fox News, Food Network, Style & that type of programming. A reality show about celebrities couldn't hold my interest for five seconds. I want to yawn just thinking about it. I can't even bear a glance at Dancing With the Stars! I find it nauseating! For reality shows, give me House Hunters!
