Ecstatically shooting everything in sight using my beloved Nikon D3100 with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR kit lens and AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 G prime lens.

Also capturing outrageous beauty left and right with my Nikon D7000 blissfully married to my Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D AF prime glass. Don't be jeal.

And then there was the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f:3.5-5.6G ED VR II zoom. We're done here.

A call to greatness

One hundred eighty-seven breeds and varieties of dogs competed in the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on February 11th and 12th.

I'm so grateful to my daughter Erica for calling on Monday night to tell me it was on TV.

Last night, after all tails had wagged and all strangely-dressed handlers had trotted around the ring for the last time, a five-year-old Affenpinscher named Banana Joe took Best in Show.

Am I the only one who was more interested in this than in the State of the Union Address, which it only occurred to me to diligently avoid watching?

I know the state of the union. It's bad and getting worse.

But we can still be great.

I watched all of it and loved little Banana Joe. What a cutie! Jim and I loved watching this every year, and I certainly missed him being here to watch it with me. And the SOTU , NEVER would I have watched that!

Well, I'm not a fan of the dog that won. It has a face only a mother could love, LOL. But I did love your dog commercials! I saw a pooch like my Buddy, sailing off for a catch and landing in the water! Oh, what a joy he was!

And no, I didn't watch the SOTU. Blah, blah, lies, blah, lies, blah, blah, blah, lies.

I didn't see the dog show, but I liked your clips. No State of the Union for us either. We knew it would be more of the same and I just couldn't stomach listening to him tell more lies and be applauded by his minions.

As soon as I heard it was coming on I turned my TV off! Not so for the hubby who watched it in our room while I stayed CLEAR. By the time it was over and I walked in the room he was so flipping mad he looked like he could eat glass while spitting nails!!! I told him not to do it, hahhaaaaa!!!!!
